Tutorial on DIY Glass Cabochon Ring

Hello there! Does anyone have tried to DIY rings? Today I’m very glad to show you how to make an unusual glass cabochon ring. You may wonder why I say it’s unusual, here, let make it first, then you’ll figure out the reason.
Jewelry making supplies needed for making the cabochon ring:
Clear glass cabochon
Sliver colored brass ring component
Different polymer clay butterfly canes or already cut butterfly flake cabochons
Magazine cutting with flowers (the paper should be slightly glossy)
Liquid glue
Scissors
Pencil
How to make the glass cabochon ring:
Step 1: Make the flower cutting.
First, prepare the flower magazine cutting, glass cabochon and pencil.
Second, put the cabochon right on the center of the flower, and smoothly draw a circle around it, then cut the cutting in the fitting size.
Step 2: Attach the flower cutting to the ring component.
Put some liquid glue in the ring component tray and then press the flower cutting in it immediately. Press the cutting several times to make sure it sticks well.
Step 3: Finish the cabochon ring by attaching the glass cabochon and butterfly flakes.
First, put some liquid glue on the surface of the magazine flower cutting, and quickly press the clear glass cabochon on it.
Second, cut the polymer clay butterfly canes into papery pieces, and glue them one after one on the surface of the glass cabochon. Of course, if you used butterfly flakes instead of butterfly canes, you should just glue it without cutting them.

Here goes the final look:
So, what you say about this DIY cabochon ring? I think it’s really wonderful. You see, there are colorful butterflies, refreshing water drop, and pretty flower, which makes the ring like a little nature world. What’s more, the procedures are quite easy and it won’t take long to make it, even a jewelry making beginner can make it without pressure. And if you change the brass ring component into precious metal component and use your lover’s photo instead of the magazine cutting, then it could become a unique DIY engagement ring with special meanings.
