Today I made a long pendent necklace with glass beads, pearl beads and gold spacers. As you can see from the picture, I added a butterfly link to hang the long beaded pendent. It seems that this necklace is difficult to make, while if you follow my instructions to try, it would be easy.

Instructions on making the glass stranded necklace with butterfly and beaded long pendent:

Step 1: Bead the necklace strand

1^st, snip off a piece of 0.3mm tiger wire (about 100cm), fold it into halves and attach a clasp on the middle;

2^nd, thread one wire through a 2mm gold seed bead and a 6mm green faceted glass bead while the other wire through a gold seed bead and a 4mm white pearl bead, then cross the wires through a 3mm gold bead spacer and tighten;

3^rd, thread a gold seed bead, a 4mm white pearl through the lower wire in the picture, thread a seed bead and a 6mm green glass bead through the other wire, and then cross both wires through a 3mm gold bead spacer and tighten; (You’ve beaded the basic necklace strand pattern so far)

4^th, repeat above procedures to make more patterns and stop when you reach a proper length;

5^th, cross the wires and attach a bead tip on, and trim off the excessive wires.

Step 2: Add the gold butterfly link

1^st, prepare 2 eyepins, 2 8mm white pearl beads, and 4 gold seed beads;

2^nd, thread each wire through a gold seed bead, a 8mm white pearl beads and a gold seed bead in sequence respectively;

3^rd, cut the excess headpins, and twist a hoop on each each of the eyepins;

4^th, attach a jump ring to each side of the butterfly link, and then connect it to the bead tips on each end of the necklace strand.

Step 3: Add long beaded pendant

1^st, prepare 3 iron headpins and 7 iron eyepins;

2^nd, thread each headpin through a 10mm white pearl bead and 2 8mm transparent glass beads;

3^rd, thread each eyepin through a 6mm green glass bead, a 8mm white pearl bead and a green glass bead in sequence respectively;

4^th, connect the dangles as shown in the picture and finish the necklace.

This beaded large pendent necklace is a little complex to make. Now check the detailed steps below to find out how to make it.

There are many beaded pendent necklace designs on this site, but today I will introduce you another complex pendent necklace. As you can see from the picture, the most important part is the pendent. It is made of several kinds of beads and I use the yellow bugle seed beads and blue seed beads to add charms. Let’s see how to make this beaded large pendent necklace with pearl and glass beads.

Supplies needed in making the beaded large pendent necklace:

6MM White Glass Pearl Beads

12MM Yellow Glass Pearl Beads

6MM Transparent Faceted Glass Beads

Instructions on making the beaded large pendent necklace:

Step 1: Bead a large hoop

1^st, snip off a piece of 0.45mm tiger wire (about 100cm), then thread one end of the wire through a 8mm black glass bead, a 6mm transparent faceted glass bead, a 8mm black glass bead and 2 6mm white pearl beads in sequence;

2^nd, thread the other end of the wire through the first black glass bead and tighten;

3^rd, add a 6mm transparent glass bead to the left wire, and 2 6mm white pearl beads plus a 8mm black glass bead to the right wire respectively;

4^th, thread the left wire through the black glass bead on the right wire and tighten;

5^th, repeat above beading pattern and finish the whole beaded hoop in the end.

Step 2: String blue seed beads ornaments

1^st, reserve one wire, then thread the other wire through the black glass bead and white pearl bead as shown;

2^nd, thread the wire though a blue seed bead, then the white pearl bead, then add a blue seed bead again, repeat this way and string the blue seed beads ornament as pictured.

Step 3: Add yellow bugle beads embellishment

1^st, thread the other wire through the black glass bead, then thread it through 8 2mm bugle beads through the wire;

2^nd, thread the wire through the next black glass bead from the inner side to the outer side;

3^rd, thread 8 yellow bugle seed beads to the wire again, then thread the wire trough the next black glass bead;

4^th, string yellow bugle seed beads and do the same thing as the above 4 steps and finally it will end up like this.

Step 4: Finish the large beaded pendent

1^st, prepare 2 iron headpins, and thread a black glass drop bead and a 12mm yellow pearl bead through them respectively;

2^nd, make loops at the ends of the headpins, then attach the yellow pearl dangle to the joint between the transparent faceted glass beads and make it the center of the pendent;

3^rd, hook the black glass drop bead to the pendent.

Step 5: Bead a black and white necklace strand

1^st, snip off a piece of 0.45mm tiger wire (about 50cm), thread it through 3 6mm white pearl beads and a black gemstone bead;

2^nd, thread the right wire through the first pearl bead and tighten;

3^rd, thread 2 white pearl beads to the left wire and a black gemstone bead to the right wire, then thread the right wire through the last pearl bead you just added;

4^th, repeat this beading pattern and finish the black and white necklace strand and trim off the extra wire.

Step 6: Add yellow bugle beaded patterns  

1^st, snip off a piece of 35cm tiger wire, mark the 1/4 of the whole strand, then thread the wire through the 6mm white pearl bead,

2^nd, then thread each end through 5 yellow bugle seed beads, and cross them through the next pearl bead as pictured;

3^rd, add the bugle cross ornament on the rest strand, and stop at the another symmetric point and finally trim off the extra wire.

Step 7: Finish the whole beaded large pendent necklace

1^st, snip off a piece of short tiger wire, and then thread it through a blue seed bead;

2^nd, thread each side of the wire through the black gemstone bead respectively;

3^rd, thread the wire through the beads and tie to the joint;

4^th, attach jump ring to each end of the necklace strand, and connect them with a lobster clasp.

Step1: Make a basic gold chain necklace

Cut a proper length of gold chain, and connect the ends to toggle clasps with jump rings respectively.

Step 2: Attach pearl bead dangles

1^st, thread 2 6mm pearl beads with a headpin, and insert the headpin to the hole of the chain in the right center;

2^nd, add 2 6mm pearl beads and make a loop at the end;

3^rd, insert 2 8mm pearl beads to 2 headpins, and a 10mm pearl bead to a headpin;

4^th, connect the pearl bead to make a dangle. (place 10mm pearl bead in the bottom)

Step 3: Add gold chains decorations

1^st, cut 4 pieces of gold chains of same length, and then attach them to a jump ring;

2^nd, hook the jump ring to the eye pin and tighten it;

3^rd, repeat the pearl bead and chain dangle pattern and stop when you have occupied 1/3 length of the whole chain.

This easy but elegant pearl and gold chain dangle necklace is finished! How adorable it is!

How to make this turquoise cross pendant necklace:

Step 1: Make part of the turquoise bead pendant

1^st, cut off a piece of 15cm 0.8mm silver copper wire, and make a small loop on one end;

2^nd, slide a Tibetan style bead cap, a 10mm turquoise gemstone bead, then another bead cap onto the wire;

3^rd, continue to slide other two groups of gemstone beads and caps onto the wire;

4^th, move the last group of gemstone bead and caps a little to the left, then make a loop at this end and cut off extra wires.

Step 2: Finish the turquoise bead pendant

1^st, cut off a piece of 15cm 0.8mm silver copper wire, wrap it on the first wire. Meanwhile, make sure the two ends are of equal lengths;

2^nd, slide a group of gemstone bead and caps from the right end onto the wire. Make a loop on this end and cut off extra wires;

3^rd, repeat the same process to the left part.

Step 3: Complete the turquoise cross pendant necklace

1^st, cut off two pieces of black suede cord according to your needs. Make sure one of them is a little shorter than another;

2^nd, slide the pendant onto the longer suede cord;

3^rd, collect the left ends of these two cords and add an iron ribbon end to them. Repeat the process to the the right ends;

4^th, attach two jump rings to the two ends, then add a spring clasp to one of the jump rings.

This will be the final look of the necklace!
