A Brief Introduction on the Fabulous Wood Beads

It is well known that wood beads have becoming one of the most popular materials used for jewelry making in recent years. But what makes them so popular? Obviously, one reason is that they have lighter weight than beads made by other elements. And of course, apart from this reason, the impressive plasticity of wood beads also counts a lot for their popularity. Today we will introduce you wood beads form three aspects: their shapes, colors, and usages.

When you are choosing beads for jewelry making, which shape is your first choice? The round one, the flat one, the oval one, or any other shapes? Well, no matter what’s your favorite shape, the wood beads can always meet your demands. As we have mentioned before, wood beads are quite plastic, they can be make into any shape as you wish. If you are a salted DIY jewelry maker, you will not fight against my viewpoint that even a tree branch you found in your yard can be made into a piece of jewelry. Now let’s see some pictures:

They are pretty right?

Then how to choose wood bead colors for your jewelry designs? We will give you some advice.

Black and white is widely considered to be the easiest matching color, so if you don’t know which color to choose, just try them. And rainbow colors can always make your design more eye-catching. They are such perfect supplies for making jewelry not only for adults but even for kids. And you may also use some colorful wood beads to make some home decoration items, like doorway curtains, chandeliers, wind chimes and so on. Choosing right colors for your crafts totally depends on what you actually want to make. Of course, besides from these, wood beads can be dyed into any color as you like. And since it is easier to dye a wood bead than other beads, the price of wood beads is much cheaper than the others.

Except for their various shapes and rich colors, what exactly can wood beads do for DIY jewelry making? The answer is: almost any jewelry you can think of at this moment: necklace, bracelet, earring, and so on. They can make up a whole piece of jewelry, and they can also work as charms to decorate jewelries made up by other materials. Here go the examples:

So, after all that we have discussed above, do you have the impulsion to buy some wood beads to DIY your own wood jewelry? If your answer is yes, just try it, and find out what you can create with these fantastic organic materials!
